On the morning of 10 January 2026, the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV met the collaborators and volunteers of the Jubilee 2025 at the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican, expressing his gratitude for the service rendered in support of the organisation of the Jubilee, coordinated by Monsignor Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelisation.
Numerous ecclesiastical and civil authorities attended the audience, together with representatives of associations and volunteer organisations, several Cardinals, and the President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, underscoring the institutional and international importance of the event.
The meeting was also attended by 450 Templars, representing over 800 who served actively during the Jubilee Year, as well as more than 3,000 Templars operating worldwide and coming from various nations.
On behalf of all the Templars present, the Magister Templi, Fra’ Mauro Giorgio Ferretti, expressed profound gratitude to His Holiness and presented an icon of the Madonna as a sign of devotion, trust, and spiritual communion with the Successor of Peter.
The date of 10 January 2026 holds particular historical significance, as it marked the first official and close encounter between the Templars and the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV, representing a moment of communion, recognition, and direct dialogue destined to remain in the memory of the contemporary Templar community.
