Privacy Notice pursuant to Article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (“Italian Privacy Code”) and Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”)
The Association Templars Today World (hereinafter, the “Association”), in its capacity as Data Controller, informs you that your personal data will be processed in compliance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, and transparency, and in accordance with the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data, namely:
Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, as amended (“Privacy Code”);
EU Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (“General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”).
Purposes of Processing
Personal data will be processed by the Association for the following purposes:
Registration and maintenance of membership in the Association;
Updating of registers and internal lists;
Sending information and communications regarding the Association’s activities;
Registration and participation in activities, meetings, conferences, and Spiritual Retreats;
Compliance with legal, accounting, and administrative obligations.
Legal Basis for Processing
The legal basis for the processing is:
The execution of the membership relationship and participation in Association activities (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR);
The explicit consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) and, where applicable, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) for the processing of sensitive personal data.
Methods of Processing
Data will be processed using paper and/or electronic tools, in compliance with technological developments, ensuring appropriate security and confidentiality measures. The Association’s IT system is not accessible from the outside.
Only members of the Association entrusted with specific roles or functions, formally appointed and adequately trained, are authorized to access and process personal data.
Data Retention
Documents will be filed in a personal folder and stored in secure archives. In the event of termination of membership, original documents will be returned to the member following preparation and signature of an inventory. Copies will be retained in the Association’s records for as long as required by law and for the purposes set out above.
Data Communication and Disclosure
Personal data may be communicated solely to:
Consultants of the Association for accounting and administrative purposes;
Public authorities or entities, where required by law.
Data will not be disclosed to third parties or disseminated without your explicit consent.
Rights of the Data Subject (Articles 15–22 GDPR)
You may exercise the following rights at any time:
Right of access to personal data;
Right to rectification, updating, or integration of personal data;
Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), anonymization, or restriction of processing;
Right to data portability;
