Verona, April 2026 – The “Patto di Sussidiarietà” (Subsidiarity Pact) has been officially signed between the City of Verona and the Associazione Templari Oggi APS for the care and enhancement of the Loggiato at the San Fermo Maggiore church complex and the sarcophagus located within. The agreement, signed on March 25, 2026, formalizes a partnership to safeguard a site of profound historical importance.
Objectives of the project: care and memory
The Association is committed to several activities to maintain the site’s dignity and public access:
- maintenance and cleaning: regular sessions will be held to clean the Loggiato and manually remove weeds.
- cultural valorization: the historical legacy of the complex will be shared through guided tours and cultural events.
- information: information panels and brochures will be produced, with content reviewed by the City to ensure accuracy.
Management and duration
The pact outlines the following framework for the collaboration:
- duration: the agreement will be in effect for 1 year from the date of signing.
- association contact: Nicola Daldosso will serve as the supervisor and primary contact for the Administration.
- city representative: Dr. Lisa Lanzoni will manage the pact’s execution on behalf of the Department for the Promotion of Rights and Subsidiarity.
- reporting: the Association will provide a full report on its activities within 15 days of the pact’s conclusion, including multimedia documentation.
This project, based on a proposal submitted by the Association on January 28, 2026 , encourages active citizenship in the preservation of shared heritage. The City of Verona will highlight the achievements of this collaboration through its institutional website and Geographic Information System (SIGI).
